Senior Customer Success Director

IonQ

• Collaborate directly with global clients who are defining and solving real-world challenges using IonQ's trapped-ion quantum computers. • Understand customer technical needs and remove barriers to product adoption, enhance customer loyalty and retention, and boost satisfaction, while actively minimizing churn. • Expand IonQ’s user base by identifying real-world challenges for industry customers and creating workshops, challenges, and curricula that empower them to learn and apply quantum computing to drive value for their businesses. • Define new service offerings based on customer feedback and IonQ’s strategic business goals. Drive the successful execution and operation of these offerings. • Gain a deep understanding of our hardware and software capabilities to assist customers in optimizing performance. • Represent IonQ on standards bodies, government committees, quantum working groups, industry panels, and other relevant forums as needed. • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, and Engineering teams to provide valuable customer insights on product functionality, documentation, and educational materials. • Leverage Project/Program management skills to oversee multiple, interconnected projects and initiatives, aligning them with strategic organizational goals

Job Requirements

  • Masters or PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or a related STEM field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles or equivalent, with a proven track record of performance and goal achievement
  • 3+ years of experience with creating customer facing content such as training material, success plans, playbooks, workflows
  • Hands on experience with Python and quantum frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, or other quantum computing SDK
  • Working knowledge of Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of key concepts and mathematical techniques relevant to quantum computing, including linear algebra and probability
  • Exceptional technical and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire audiences ranging from researchers and end-users to C-suite executives, all with varying levels of quantum knowledge
  • Proven ability to teach complex topics to diverse audiences, tailoring curricula to customer needs, including large lectures, smaller study sessions, and one-on-one mentoring
  • Demonstrated success in working collaboratively within a team environment

Role Description The Donor Advisor, Major Gifts plays a pivotal role in advancing the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission by building and deepening relationships with high-impact donors committed to creating a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. This fundraising professional will join a strategic and highly successful major gifts team raising over $60 million annually. The Donor Advisor, Major Gifts manages a strategic portfolio of major giving prospects, developing personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies that align donor passions with the Association’s mission priorities. The Donor Advisor collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive philanthropic revenue, expand the major-gift pipeline, and strengthen long-term donor engagement. The primary portfolio for this role will be based in the Upper Northeast, with additional regions assigned as needed. Responsibilities - Portfolio Management & Donor Strategy - Build, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a personal portfolio of approximately 100–125 major donors and prospects. - Develop individualized donor strategies to deepen engagement and increase philanthropic investment aligned with Alzheimer’s Association priorities. - Assume responsibility for annual revenue and activity goals; meet or exceed assigned fundraising targets. - Develop and implement strategies to grow the major and strategic giving pipeline within the assigned chapters. - Build and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies for six- and seven-figure solicitations. - Collaboration & Internal Partnerships - Partner with chapter field leadership and staff to develop integrated donor strategies that enhance the donor experience and strengthen chapter, territory and organization wide fundraising. - Work collaboratively and strategically with colleagues across the Association to expand the pipeline of major and strategic gift prospects. - Serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership in donor strategy and high-level solicitations. - Data & Operations - Maintain accurate and timely CRM records to support strong data management and reporting practices. - Monitor, evaluate, and report on progress toward goals; use data insights to inform portfolio strategy. - Adhere to team processes, professional fundraising standards, and organizational policies. - Representation & Engagement - Represent the Alzheimer’s Association at donor meetings, events, community engagements, and networking opportunities. - Model professionalism, donor-centric practice, and the Association’s values in all interactions.
