Role Description AECOM is seeking Data Center Quality Assurance Managers nationally. This position can be remote. - Lead team of inspectors reviewing the construction contractors’ workmanship, materials, and equipment for conformity with the requirements of the construction contracts. - Maintain a list of all defects and omissions. - Maintain Non-Conformance Notice and Open Issues Log Reconciliation. - Monitor the contractors’ quality program for conformance to the plan throughout the course of construction. - Notify CLIENT of test failures and plan corrective actions. - Perform Punchlist oversight and participate in Zero Defect walkthrough. - Reports critical issues to the Construction Management Lead and provides proper resolution. - Provides input for weekly project reports and monthly progress reports. - Serves as the direct point of contact for the Owner, ensuring successful project execution and communication. - Summarizing significant test results in progress reports. - Verifying that tests are conducted as scheduled, witnessing selected tests, checking test results, if required, overseeing retesting, and retaining test records. - Maintain professionalism in attire and communication during all time on site and in meetings. - Represent the Client in alignment with contract requirements and project deliverables. - Conducts periodic site visits for quality assurance, safety compliance, and project tracking. - Coordinate client Outage / Shutdown Procedure. Qualifications - Minimum Requirements: BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. - Preferred Requirements: 15 years of experience with construction and/or quality management. - CQM or other professional certifications. - Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture. Requirements - Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. - Relocation is not available for this position. - Potential up to 90% travel anywhere in US. Vendor & Partner Relationship Management• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for data center providers, smart-hands vendors, carriers, and hardware suppliers.• Track and report vendor performance against SLAs and SLOs for onsite support, cross-connects, deliveries, and maintenance windows.• Coordinate vendor quotes, ordering, and scheduling for rack expansions, structured cabling, and facility services. Hands-On Data Center Operations• Perform or supervise rack and stack deployments, cable management, hardware replacements, optics installation, labeling, and patching in accordance with MOP, SOP, and EOP standards.• Conduct site walkthroughs to ensure safety, operational cleanliness, and adherence to change control processes.• Execute routine inspections including power strips, breakers, airflow, and alarms, and perform incident triage and hardware diagnostics when necessary.
