Accounts Payable Manager
Evergen
Role Description - Provide premier customer service to the organization by providing cross functional assistance to help meet business needs. - Oversees accounts payable operation, ensuring vendor invoices are paid accurately, timely, and abiding by our company policies and procedures. - Prepares allocation of intercompany payables, including foreign currency translation. - Initiates treasury function consisting of processing weekly check runs, ACH, and wire activity with a high level of accuracy. - Appropriately escalates invoice or payment issues to key stakeholders. - Interacts with vendors as a company representative and resolves invoicing and payment disputes with vendors using conflict-resolution skills and a high level of customer service. - Administrator for employee T&E expense systems and reviews expense reports to ensure adherence to company policy. - Administers the corporate credit card program and ensures adherence to company policy and appropriate training for users. - Manages Accounts Payable team by providing guidance on day-to-day tasks and issues, hires and trains new associates, and manages performance and corrective action. - Develops and maintains documented standard operating procedures for areas of responsibility and ensures accurate training documentation is in place. - Responsible for various components of the audit related to payables and is able to provide sufficient audit documentation to validate transactions. - Assists the finance leadership on various process improvement projects. - Inputs vendor payables as needed. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline. Requirements - 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or other relevant position. - 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience. - Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement. Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate Excel. - Finance, general ledger, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. - Confidentiality. - Customer service. - Basic accounting principles. Role Description The Accounts Payable Analyst role encompasses comprehensive subject matter expertise for accounts payable, including a thorough understanding of all transactions, associated business processes, charts of accounts, and end-to-end flow of journal entries throughout the entire process cycle. This position operates within a complex multi-stream accounts payable environment that includes: - Product payables - EDI transactions - CNB related payables - Non-product and service-related expenses This role is also responsible for vendor reconciliations and for providing timely business and customer support in all areas of accountability. The role requires a proactive approach to problem solving, frequent coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders, and the ability to work effectively across different systems and currencies. Additional Responsibilities - Financial Accounting: Ensure applicable financial transactions are complete, reliable, and compliant with internal policies and other applicable legislation; maintain a solid understanding of the charts of accounts and appropriate expense coding. - Reporting: Prepare internal and external reports and requests for information, as required, supporting Finance and leadership with timely and accurate payable-related data. - Accounts Payable (SME): Maintain completeness and accuracy of accounts payable including invoice and payment processing, foreign currency payments, and appropriate application of commodity tax. Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner through communication with vendors, procurement, and finance partners. - Vendor Reconciliations: Perform regular vendor reconciliations and investigate/rectify discrepancies, including complex supplier accounts, multi-currency transactions, and high-volume EDI invoices. - Process Documentation: Regularly review and update all assigned standards, processes, and procedural documentation to ensure they are accurate and complete; identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
