Job Description

Senior Technical Project Manager

• Develop and manage project plans, charters, schedules, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives • Evaluate and communicate trade-offs across scope, cost, schedule, risk, and stakeholder value to support prioritization decisions • Lead cross-functional project teams from initiation through closure, providing direction, coaching, and accountability • Facilitate discovery, design sessions, and stage-gate reviews, including go/no-go decisions and key project checkpoints • Define and align on success metrics, KPIs, and acceptance criteria with business sponsors • Ensure adherence to PMO standards, SDLC requirements, and applicable regulatory and compliance guidelines • Deliver clear, consistent project reporting to stakeholders, sponsors, and executive leadership • Manage and coordinate technical deliverables, including system integrations, data flows, and API requirements • Partner with Engineering, Compliance, Operations, and vendors to manage dependencies, integrations, testing, and deployment readiness • Track project financials, including budgets, resource allocations, and forecasts; escalate variances with recommended actions • Validate project outcomes against business case objectives, ROI targets, and defined success criteria • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and implementation of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies • Ensure effective transition to business-as-usual operations, including documentation, training, and support readiness

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6–8 years of project management and/or process improvement experience; banking experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of banking systems, technology integrations, and core operations
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive-level stakeholder engagement
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean and/or Six Sigma)
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and drive results with limited oversight
  • Solid foundation in project management principles, methodologies, and best practice
