Role Description The Program Manager will manage and document the performance of Fairbanks Morse Aftermarket (FMA) projects, including: - Project budgets - Schedules - Estimates to complete - Work progress - Coordinate project deliverables in accordance with individual project objectives, segment goals, initiatives, and strategy The incumbent will coordinate efforts of the service and engineering teams to ensure customer goals and timelines are met. The Program Manager is expected to plan and oversee the execution of projects, requiring administrative control of the portfolio of projects in accordance with established standard practices. Responsibilities include: - Ensuring achievement of all project objectives, both internal and contractual - Focusing on technical and administrative control of the project - Acting as the primary point of contact from pre-solicitation scope development through project completion or product commercialization - Leading the integrated project team to achieve project technical and business objectives - Measuring success in terms of project financial performance, customer satisfaction metrics, and contract deliverables Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business, Business Management, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or other related fields - A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful project execution experience in a technical field; marine and/or digital product development experience is preferred - Demonstrated ability to lead multiple indirect teams of 5-10 individuals - Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving ability - Demonstrated resiliency to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules, and priorities - Strong English language communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation) - Ability to analyze financial data and trends for impact on projects - Highly motivated, self-determined spirit - Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 20% - Excellent business power user IT skills (MS Office & Office 365, MS Project) - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred Requirements - This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data - To meet NOFORN requirement, proof of US Citizenship is required - Acceptable proof of US Citizenship includes a US Passport, US Birth Certificate, or Naturalization Certificate Benefits - Shared responsibility for FMS Segment Revenue, Order Intake, and GM% - Support for Segment Directors and Aftermarket Commercial Manager in pursuit of new projects - Involvement in customer-initiated product upgrades and equipment investigations - Engagement in aftermarket parts sales and product user groups
