Role Description The Functional Recovery Specialist – Clinical Services (Occupational Therapist) provides patient‑facing occupational therapy services through ROMTech’s clinician guided at‑home rehab model. This role supports post‑operative functional recovery by conducting virtual assessments, delivering evidence‑based interventions, and contributing clinical expertise to the development and optimization of ROMTech’s therapy programs, workflows, and digital care delivery solutions. Key Responsibilities - Conduct virtual post‑operative functional assessments for patients across applicable surgical populations. - Develop individualized, function‑focused occupational therapy treatment plans aligned with post‑operative recovery goals. - Deliver virtual therapy interventions through one‑to‑one and group‑based sessions, as defined in the applicable engagement. - Monitor patient progress, outcomes, and functional performance, adjusting treatment approaches as clinically indicated. - Document clinical encounters accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable licensure, telehealth, and regulatory requirements. - Apply evidence‑based occupational therapy principles to support restoration of activities of daily living and functional independence. - Collaborate with internal clinical, operational, and technology partners to support therapy service delivery within ROMTech’s digital platform. - Provide clinical input related to therapy workflows, assessments, documentation templates, and outcome tracking tools. - Support quality, safety, and patient experience standards within clinician guided at‑home rehab services. Other Functions - Contribute clinical feedback to program development, virtual care optimization, and therapy best practices as mutually agreed upon. - Assist with clinical training content, mentorship, or quality initiatives when included within the scope of the contractor engagement. - Perform other mutually agreed upon duties consistent with the applicable engagement or contract. Qualifications - Required: - Strong clinical expertise in post‑operative rehabilitation and functional recovery. - Ability to conduct virtual occupational therapy assessments and interventions. - Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Patient‑centered approach with a focus on functional outcomes. - Comfort using technology platforms, digital tools, and telehealth systems. - Preferred: - Experience delivering occupational therapy services via telehealth. - Experience contributing to clinical program development or standardization. - Familiarity with outcome tracking and functional assessment tools. - Leadership mindset with interest in mentorship or clinical quality initiatives. Requirements - Required: - Clinical experience providing occupational therapy services to post‑operative or rehabilitation populations. - Preferred: - Experience working in virtual care, digital health, or startup‑like environments. Education Requirements - Preferred: - Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. License and Certification Requirements - Required: - Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in applicable state(s), as required by law, regulation, payer, or telehealth requirements. - Preferred: - Multi‑state licensure. Physical Demands and Working Conditions - Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. - Moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio). - While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. - Regular, predictable attendance is required. - Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written formats. - Must be able to engage in active listening and express ideas effectively in person, by phone, and via virtual meetings.
