Role Description Utilize custom design tools to process customer requirements and produce quality designs efficiently. Translate customer requirements to generate logical design in a production probe card environment, to guide through logical and electrical design rules, and for internal and external physical designers for space transformers. - Use product specifications and electrical circuit knowledge for the internal design process, design rules, and manufacturing process. - Responsible for probe card design entry from customer technical specification using schematics and spreadsheet formats. - Interface with customers and vendors to provide quick turn analysis and feedback results to the Sales and Design teams. - Work with design and automation groups to define, develop, and improve design tools and design processes. - Train new employees on the design process, including documentation and on-the-job training. Qualifications - Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Requirements - 2 years of experience as Electrical Engineer or related occupation. - Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following: - Generating electrical designs using concepts including impedance, PDN, signal integrity, and digital/analog circuit design. - Designing physical routing of different types of signals and plane layers. - Designing production level multi-layer boards (substrate or PCB) for wafer test probe cards. - Improving electrical designs using layout commercial design tools: Allegro and AutoCAD along with custom tools. - Working with SI and PI concepts (insertion loss, return loss, DC, and power impedance) to optimize design layout for electrical performance improvement. - Translating customer requirements into electrical designs and generating technical documentation for electrical products. - Choosing components for specific electrical applications and researching alternative components for design improvement.
