Role Description Do you love operating at the intersection of science, technology, and business? If so, this position may be for you. We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive to join our fun-loving and unique commercial team to help build our rapidly growing business. - Utilize technical knowledge and industry insight to maximize and monetize the value of OpenEye/Cadence solutions. - Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers to maximize long-term revenue. - Connect with business and technology customer stakeholders to identify critical customer challenges. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or greater in a scientific field, with a preference for Chemistry or Biology. - 5+ years of successful experience selling software, services, or hardware into technical markets. - Ability to call across an organization and drive high value, complex sales. - Understanding of the drug discovery market relevant to the customer ecosystem. - Proven track record in identifying and understanding customer pain points. - Strong communication skills and ability to interact with engineering and financial staff. - Experience managing multiple priorities and driving results. - Excellent written and verbal skills. Requirements - Experience selling scientific software or SaaS into a research environment is a plus. - Demonstrable experience of closing complex software sales is a plus. - Sales experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry is a plus. - A comprehensive network within the drug discovery market across EMEA is advantageous. Benefits - Remote employment with a preference for applicants in the San Francisco bay area or San Diego metro area. - Travel of up to 40% primarily focused on customers in western North America.
