Data Engineer, DBT, SQL
ALTEN
• Design and develop data ingestion, processing, and modeling pipelines using DBT • Optimize SQL queries on BigQuery to ensure data performance and reliability • Model the semantic layer with Looker/LookML to enable business users to leverage the data • Automate workflows using GitLab CI/CD and Docker Compose • Collaborate in an Agile (Scrum) environment with technical and business teams to deliver high-value data solutions
Job Requirements
- Degree from an engineering school or a Master’s degree (MSc) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 3–7 years’ experience in Data Engineering, with proven expertise in DBT and advanced SQL
- Proficiency in DBT for data transformation and orchestration
- Proven experience with BigQuery and advanced SQL
- Experience with Looker/LookML for data modeling
- Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and DevOps tools (CI/CD, Docker)
- Analytical mindset and ability to propose appropriate solutions
- Strong discipline in meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
- Team player with a collaborative approach and commitment to knowledge sharing
- Technical curiosity and an appetite for innovation
- Professional proficiency in French (written and spoken)
