Role Description - Creating Infrastructure level Designs for the implementation/adaptation of enterprise application/solutions, as well as creating the equivalent Operation guidelines; - Leading and/or participating in technical negotiations and decisions about the best way to implement new solutions; - Creating well detailed network flow designs and their further documentation to support implementation; - Liaising with different specialised technical teams in order to verify the validity of the envisaged infrastructure design; - Performing, together with the persons responsible for the application/solution, the Proof of Concept and the first deployment on a non-production environment; - Performing the administrative activities to put such designed in the Operational Production cycle (creating tickets, negotiating time lines, etc.); - Acting in the expert role of Infrastructure Engineer, coordinating the different Operational Engineers to implement the designs created and bring them to completion; - Being responsible to coordinate the members of the Quality Assurance team in order to test the implemented infrastructure. Qualifications - 3 years of experience in creating Technical Designs (including High Level as well as Detailed level), leading to actual implementation (including processing power, network segmentation, security principle of least access, monitoring characteristics, backup and restore, etc.), with deep expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS), and Omnissa Horizon mainly virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and application delivery solutions. - 5 years of hands-on experience in Citrix and Horizon environments. - Proven track record of designing and delivering enterprise VDI and application delivery solutions. - Proven track record of configuring and optimizing Citrix components (Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Director, Citrix Gateway). - Proven track record with hybrid environments and cloud-based VDI solutions. - Proven track record monitoring and analytics tools (Citrix Director, VMware vRealize). - Proven track record of securing Citrix environments using best practices and assessing current infrastructure in order to identify optimization opportunities. - Proven track record of managing and optimizing instant clone pools and profile management. - Proven track record of implementing CVAD / PVS / Horizon deployments or upgrades. - Proven track record of integrating PVS / Horizon with hypervisors (VMware vSphere). - 5 years of experience in the installation, implementation and configuration of Server Operating Systems (MS Windows and/or Linux) in physical or virtual format, including the interaction with Infrastructure at large (File shares with CIFS/SMB and NFS, secure LDAP integration, Public Key Certificates, Service accounts, API’s, etc.). - 2 years of experience in adapting Infrastructure Designs, applying/devising Security hardening for each layer of the solution (hardware/devices, Operating System, Applications/middleware), including leveraging well-known frameworks (e.g. CIS guidelines), including the troubleshooting needed due to the consequences of hardening. - Good knowledge in creating Technical Designs (both at a High Level and at a Detailed level) leading to actual implementation. - Good knowledge of integrating Citrix and Horizon infrastructure with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Active Directory.
