Employment Type: 3-year contract Role Overview This role is responsible for working across data transformation and consumption layers, primarily performing source-to-target mappings, data validations, and quality checks. The position involves analyzing data requirements and constructing meaningful information from raw data. This role will support data integration and transformation for applications, reporting, and analytics. Key Responsibilities - Perform source-to-target mapping for data consumers. - Gather and analyze data requirements for applications and reporting. - Define requirements for data quality and audits for data access. - Understand data transformation across different data zones (e.g., staging, enriched, curated). - Support data modeling for machine learning and predictive analytics from a consumption standpoint. - Develop and execute test cases for data validation. - Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams in an Agile environment. - Participate in defining data catalogs and mapping data to organizational roles. Proficiency in cloud-based data analytics (Databricks, Lakehouse architecture) is necessary. Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, data governance, and data quality validation is essential. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Python for analysis in notebooks. - Experience with Databricks, specifically with Unity Catalog. - Knowledge of Power Platform and other BI tools. - Experience with automated data testing tools such as QuerySurge or UIPath. - Understanding of data preparation, integration, and curation. - Familiarity with machine learning concepts from a data consumption perspective.
