Senior Back End/DevOps Developer
CI&T
• Work on a team responsible for a large-scale digital content distribution platform. • Environment handling millions of requests per minute, with a focus on high availability, low latency, and resilience. • Work closely with routing and infrastructure teams to ensure an optimal consumption experience for users, even during traffic peaks. • Focus on distributed systems, performance, networking, and operating systems; Go language is a plus but not required.
Job Requirements
- Experience developing distributed, scalable backend applications
- Experience with Go, Python, or Ruby
- Experience and practice with DevOps culture, collaborating between development and operations
- Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
- Practical experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic, Datadog, etc.)
- Knowledge of computer networks and high-scale systems (latency, throughput, contention, network congestion, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience with web servers / reverse proxies (e.g., Nginx, Apache)
- Familiarity with debugging and optimization tools for embedded systems
- Experience operating or using CDNs, understanding advantages, limitations, and security requirements (WAFs, authentication tokens, etc.)
- Knowledge of Lua or other embedded languages
- Knowledge of Unix and operating systems (terminal usage, sysctl, perf, top/htop, user space vs kernel space concepts, interrupts, etc.)

Role Description We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Site Reliability Technical Lead to join our Site Reliability team and take ownership of system and solution design to ensure our products are robust, scalable, and secure. The remit and focus of the role is to blend deep technical expertise with leadership, requiring you to mentor and coach engineers, embed a culture of quality and reliability, and guide the team in making sound technical decisions.
