EL Services Application Engineer

• Identify and develop new business opportunities, introduce new products/services, and contribute to regional sales, orders, profitability, and ITO quality goals. • Develop and present technical solutions aligned with customer needs, influence specifications, and prepare high-quality proposal content highlighting scope, benefits, and compliance. • Provide technical leadership for Field Service proposals, including site assessments, material/labor requirements, competitive analysis, and support for engineering work scopes, schedules, and cost estimates. • Communicate fulfillment requirements to sourcing and operations, document competitor activities, and support NPI programs to maintain a strong market position.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred) from an accredited college or university with 7 years of experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Experience in application engineering or field engineering in power delivery products and systems and experience working with customers in the Oil & Gas, metals, mining, paper, Power Gen, data center, commercial building or similar business segments preferred.
  • Experienced in reviewing customer specifications, developing proposals, and managing contract development and negotiations preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities, skilled in delivering impactful presentations and engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills with a customer-focused mindset; adept at working in team-oriented environments to create complex, integrated solutions.
  • Creative problem solver with an innovative approach to challenges, capable of developing and writing technical specifications and proposals leveraging the full ABB portfolio.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
