Main Purpose of the Role We are looking for translators with experience in translating patents from German into English (native-level fluency of English) with immediate availability for a patent translation project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in translating and proofreading patents, specifically in the field of Electricity and Computer Science. Role Description - Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers to understand and communicate with each other. - Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of English. - Process information quickly and concisely, recognizing sensitive cultural differences, and always maintain professionalism and courtesy. - Use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices. - The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business. Qualifications - Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy. - Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective. - Ability to quickly establish personal credibility. - Ability to follow client's instructions closely. - Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at the request of the client. - B2 CEFR English Level bilingual with other required languages. - Able to work from home on a permanent basis.
