Role Description Join IAMGOLD for a 10-month contract to support Project Nova, our company-wide implementation of Oracle systems that is transforming how we work across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and other core functions. This role is central to ensuring employees can effectively use and adopt these new systems by delivering clear, accurate, and accessible French translations. As part of Project Nova’s implementation, the Translator will work across a wide range of materials, including: - User acceptance testing (UAT) content - Training materials - System and platform language - Project communications Working closely with the Project Management Team and partners across the organization, the Translator will: - Manage incoming requests - Deliver high-quality English-to-French translations - Coordinate work with external providers as needed The role combines hands-on translation with quality control and coordination, requiring: - Strong judgment - Attention to detail - The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment In this role, the Translator will translate a broad range of materials from English into French in support of Project Nova, including: - User acceptance testing (UAT) scripts, scenarios, and validation documents - Training materials, user guides, and job aids that support system rollout - System and platform language such as interface text, field labels, workflows, and notifications - A variety of project communications including updates, announcements, FAQs, and change management materials Beyond translation, the Translator will: - Review and edit both internal and external content to ensure: - Accuracy - Completeness - Consistency in terminology and tone - Alignment with IAMGOLD standards and style - Coordinate with external translation providers when additional capacity or specialized expertise is required - Support quality control, formatting, and production needs - Maintain activity logs - Contribute to the continuous improvement of translation processes Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in translation (English to French specialization) - At least five years of relevant experience, including technical translation - Excellent command of both English and French, with native-level proficiency in French - Strong familiarity with translation tools such as Trados Studio or similar environments - Familiarity with terminology databases and emerging AI technologies - Solid understanding of terminology across core business functions, including Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and corporate operations Requirements - Ability to manage multiple priorities - Handle high volumes of work - Meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Experience supporting a public company environment, including shareholder communications (considered an asset) Benefits - Competitive salary range: C$89,000 - C$97,000 - Attractive total rewards package including: - Bonus - Life insurance - Health spending account - Fitness & wellness subsidy - Employee & family assistance program - TFSA & RRSP - Electric vehicle subsidy - Summer hours and holiday office closure
