Field Service Engineer

Alcon

• Provide high quality technical support for Alcon customers and Alcon sales & marketing departments. • Manage a territory from technical, customer satisfaction and service perspective to cover New Zealand South Island. • Carry out new equipment installations in consultation with the customer & sales force. • Perform Repairs, Planned Maintenance plus submission of documentation on time with attention to detail and with proper consultation with the customer. • Provide sales and marketing colleagues with support when required. • Actively promote and sell Alcon Service Agreements. • Understand and adhere to all quality and ISO requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum/Essential: 3 years field experience in a customer facing service engineer role, from a medical technology company
  • Minimum of Certificate 3 in an Electronic related field.
  • Ideally hold Biomedical Engineering qualifications
  • A current New Zealand Electrical Licence is required for this role.
  • Experience in Ophthalmic equipment highly desired
  • Advanced PC literacy
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience with electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, laser / energy meters, pressure and vacuum meters)

This position will provide support to the broader team with clinical and non-clinical activities to support a person-centered approach to care coordination. Care coordination activities will focus on supporting member's medical, behavioral, and socioeconomic needs to promote appropriate utilization of services and improved quality of care.
