Role Description The FAA Certified Aircraft Dispatcher Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, FAA-approved training to prepare candidates for Aircraft Dispatcher certification. This part-time role supports up to two training courses per year and requires in-person instruction at Scott Air Force Base during course delivery. The instructor ensures students meet FAA standards through classroom instruction, hands-on training, and individualized support. - Deliver FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification training in accordance with approved curriculum and FAA standards. - Plan, coordinate, and execute up to two courses annually, with up to 10 students per course. - Provide in-person instruction at Scott AFB for the full duration of each course. - Be available outside normal class hours, including evenings and weekends, to support student learning needs. - Present complex aviation concepts and regulatory material in a clear, effective manner. - Incorporate applicable guidance and reference materials, including: USDOT publications, FAA Flight Information Publications and NOAA resources. - Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to ensure successful completion of training requirements. - Maintain current knowledge of FAA regulations and industry best practices. - Coordinate with program leadership on course scheduling, logistics, and training improvements. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education in aviation, aeronautics, or a related field preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of relevant aviation experience. - 618th AOC Flight Management Specialist certification in accordance with AFMAN 11-255 series. - FAA-certified instructor who has delivered FAA-approved Aircraft Dispatcher training within the past 24 months. - Demonstrated experience effectively teaching complex and technical material. - Strong understanding of flight operations and dispatcher responsibilities. - In-depth knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 14 and applicable FAA Flight Dispatcher requirements. - Experience incorporating FAA, USDOT, and NOAA publications into aviation training programs. - Familiarity with aviation training systems, instructional platforms, and course delivery methods. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Ability to instruct diverse student groups with varying experience levels. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Ability to provide individualized instruction and mentoring. - Must possess a current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate. - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Role Description The Unconventional is seeking a qualified Language Instructor to support The Language Enabled Airman Program (LEAP) and the Air Force Culture and Language Center (AFCLC). LEAP is an AFCLC-managed, volunteer, career-spanning program that develops language-enabled, cross-culturally competent service members across the General Purpose Force (GPF) with working-level foreign language proficiency. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: - Administer the eMentor curricula (syllabi and lesson plans) provided by the Client. - Prepare instructional aids (e.g., presentation slides, digital whiteboard content) and supporting open-source materials for each session. - Instructional aids shall be prepared IAW industry’s best practices for instructional quality and effectiveness. - Operate UCC platform tools including launching live sessions, managing audio/video, screen sharing, chat, and materials, support Scholar access and keyboard setup, adjust bandwidth settings, and troubleshoot routine technical issues during instruction. - Deliver instruction aligned with lesson objectives and plans, incorporating cultural, technical, military, and geopolitical content (including open-source materials) to support language development and mission-relevant understanding for Scholars at ILR Level 2 and above. - Provide one-on-one feedback, review homework and assessments, and monitor attendance to support Scholar language development and course progress. - Support OnDemand session scheduling functions in the Language Enabled Development Resource (LEaDeR) application by coordinating weekly schedule availability with the ISS.
