PLEASE NOTE the following requirements for this position: - A commitment to work onsite in office 2-3 days per week (hybrid) out of Santa Clara, CA - Strong experience with NAS storage protocols like SMB/S3 & NFS - Programming experience with Pytest (ideally), Go, Python, and/or Bash - Domain experience working in distributed systems, the storage stack, and file system internals - Experience with testing tools like fio, fsct, vdbench, dd, specFS, and/or virtana HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE - Own product areas and lead the test effort focused in storage, data path, file system & Cloud components. - Work with the engineering team during the feature design and implementation phases to develop: - the test methodology (designing the test approach) to test the feature end-to-end. - test plans. - Collaborate with other testing members, developers, technical writers, and customer solutions engineers to ensure the company delivers high quality products to our customers. - Execute multiple iterations of the test plan by running manual and automated test cases. - Analyze failures and root cause issues, file defects, follow up with developers, documentation and other teams on the resolution. - Automate test cases. - Monitor and manage the continuous integration environment. - Mentor team members. WE’D LOVE TO TALK WITH YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING: - 6+ years of software testing experience with large-scale distributed systems - Experience with NAS storage protocols like SMB, NFS, S3, iSCSI, and CIFs - Programming experience in Pytest (ideally), go, Python, and/or bash - Technical proficiency with the storage stack, file system internals, and testing tools like fio, fsct, vdbench, dd, specFs, virtana, etc. - Strong understanding of distributed systems, including databases, storage, map-reduce frameworks, etc. - Troubleshooting skills spanning multiple software and hardware components, including storage systems and kernels - Possess good understanding of QA methodologies and processes. - Strong test planning ability with understanding of enterprise storage workflows. - Ability to take up variety of roles in a startup environment. - Excellent troubleshooting abilities spanning multiple software and hardware components (such as switches, storage systems, kernels). - Good knowledge of storage stack, file system internals and testing tools like fio, fsct, vdbench, dd, specFs etc. - Demonstrated ability to implement AI-driven solutions to improve business processes and operational efficienc Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time Pay Range : $164,250.00-$182,500.00 The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment. Role Description We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven team player to join our Product and Quality Assurance (PQA) team, with a strong focus on Flight Software Product Assurance. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of both flight and ground software across our growing satellite constellation. You will work at the intersection of engineering, quality, and operations, helping to shape how we build and deliver software in a fast-moving, mission-critical space environment. The PQA team defines and maintains the company’s quality and Product Assurance standards. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring our software meets the highest levels of robustness, compliance, and reliability, supporting mission success in both orbit and ground operations. This is a role for someone who thrives in complex, technical environments, enjoys working across disciplines, and is comfortable balancing structured quality processes with the pace of a rapidly scaling space organisation. You will be trusted to take end-to-end ownership, bring clarity to ambiguity, and help embed strong engineering discipline across the software lifecycle. Key responsibilities - Develop, implement, and continuously improve a robust Software Product Assurance (PA) programme, reporting directly to the Product Assurance Manager. - Take end-to-end ownership of Software Product Assurance across both flight and ground software for our satellite constellation. - Ensure rigorous application of software configuration management and release processes, maintaining strong version control, traceability, and engineering discipline. - Enforce compliance with safety-critical and mission-critical software standards, with a strong focus on risk reduction and failure prevention. - Define and oversee software testing, verification, and validation strategies across all development and delivery phases. - Investigate, manage, and resolve software anomalies throughout development, testing, integration, and operational phases. - Support Spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) activities, ensuring software readiness and compliance at every stage. - Coordinate and lead software deliveries from suppliers, ensuring alignment with internal standards, schedules, and quality expectations. - Participate in subcontractor reviews and key technical meetings, working closely with procurement engineers and Product Assurance stakeholders. - Balance the demands of rapid development cycles with the need to maintain strong Product Assurance and software quality standards in a fast-paced space environment.
