Title: Centralized Scheduler Location: Cape Girardeau time type: Full time job requisition id: 2026-109562 Remote Job Description: The Centralized Scheduler is responsible for scheduling surgeries, appointments and procedures at the request of physicians and customers. Responsible for transcribing and scanning all orders and H&P's into the electronic medical record. Responsible for maintaining scheduling related work queues. Responsible for "schegistration" of patients, which includes verification of insurance benefits & eligibility. Responsible for initiating medical necessity checking on surgeries, appointments and/or procedures. Assures the specific needs of department, physician and customers are met. Providing assistance and direction to physicians, their staff and other hospital personnel with whatever needs they may have. Maintains the master physician listing for use by the medical center. Working closely with departments on new procedures and requirements to ensure compliance and proper reimbursement. Lives the Mission, Vision, Values and Philosophy of the department and Saint Francis Medical Center. Constantly works with and maintains restricted or confidential information from many sources within the medical center. Any and all duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager, Manager and/or Director.
