The Role Category Labs is looking for a Smart Contract Engineer to join the core engineering team to build at the application layer. The work can range from direct collaboration with external app and infrastructure teams to design and implementation of new primitives enabled by a high-performance EVM client. You will be part of a small, high-functioning team in a fast-paced startup environment. • Design and implement smart contracts in Rust for Glow's Solana-based protocol • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate, experiment, and ship high-impact protocol features • Architect systems with a focus on security, scalability, and gas efficiency • Contribute to developer tooling, SDKs, and integration layers that empower both internal and external builders • Take full ownership — from concept and research to mainnet deployment and maintenance • Support the design, development, and deployment of new on-chain features • Work collaboratively across engineering, product, and research teams to refine and test protocol logic • Build and maintain high-quality smart contract systems with performance, resilience, and scalability in mind • Deploy, monitor, and operate on-chain services in production • Continuously look for innovative solutions to complex DeFi and protocol challenges through rigorous experimentation

• Flex your engineering talents to write smart contracts on Solana/SVM and other chains as well as identify improvements needed to grow DoubleZero as we support multi-tenancy. • Understand known vulnerabilities in smart contracts to build secure and stable code with supporting unit and integration tests; actively participate in auditing and testing of your code. • Understand smart contracts concepts including Solana, Ethereum and other blockchain technologies. Know when to build something new vs. to depend on an existing open-source library. • Build robust software that complements and interacts with the smart contract components of the DoubleZero protocol. • Actively participate in the ongoing curation of the DoubleZero code base including facilitating discussions within issues and pull requests.
