Foundation
• Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies that optimize cost, quality, service levels, and supplier performance • Lead complex RFx processes, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution across assigned categories • Analyze spend, financial, and operational data to identify sourcing opportunities, risks, and total cost of ownership improvements • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, including performance management through SLAs and KPIs • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to drive sourcing alignment and adoption across the organization • Present data‑driven business cases and sourcing strategies to key stakeholders and leadership • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within strategic sourcing to enhance efficiency and value • Support supplier diversity initiatives and promote ethical, compliant procurement practices
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or related consulting experience
- Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes, systems, and best practices
- Proven experience leading RFx events, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder influence skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or MRP systems
- Master’s degree, CPP, or CSCP certification preferred
- Experience managing direct or indirect spend within a medical or research organization preferred.

• Lead negotiations for all relationship issues, contract terms, pricing, and ad hoc projects. • Serve as the primary procurement and sourcing lead for any goods or services requested by Octane team members. • Review, redline, and negotiate contracts, SLAs, and SOWs to secure optimal business and legal terms for Octane. • Lead the full sourcing lifecycle for all company sourcing needs with primary focus on critical/high risk exposure. • Conduct spend analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify cost optimization and renegotiation opportunities. • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact and Relationship Owner for all Critical vendors and a portion of High Risk vendors. • Coordinate quarterly stewardship meetings, manage performance scorecards, and track KPIs to ensure high-risk partners meet contractual obligations. • Maintain the Issues & Escalations log, driving vendor-related problems from identification to final resolution. • Implement the ongoing review schedule and document all activities within the TPRM platform. • Drive the execution of required onboarding and formal termination procedures. • Partner with 1st and 2nd Line of Defense (Legal, InfoSec, Compliance) to ensure alignment with industry regulations. • Maintain accurate records within the vendor tracking system, including spend data, insurance certificates (COIs), and compliance certifications. • Develop and refine sourcing templates, SOPs, and playbooks to create a repeatable and defensible procurement process.
