NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). This position supports the Bureau of Land Management Missoula Field Office. This is a hybrid position - the enrollee will work from home more than 50% of the time and needs to live in the Missoula area. Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 604 hours. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. Qualifications: Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in Realty/Land Tenure OR BA/BS Degree with minimum additional experience of 15 year(s) in Realty/Land Tenure OR Previously completed training in Beginning Lands and Realty, Intermediate lands - Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS SharePoint - ArcPro Duties: The position will serve as a technical expert and adviser to the realty program across the State, and be instrumental in making recommendations on a wide variety of complex and controversial lands and realty actions, including rights-of-ways, land acquisition and disposal, Recreation and Public Purposes (R&PP) actions, exchanges, permits, leases, withdrawals, and trespass. - Assist State with Technical Questions and Program Advice 50% - Assist Realty Program with Land Tenure actions 40% - Update MLRS as needed 10% Other: - IT security training, ethics training, Defensive Driving if use of a government vehicle is needed. - Physical requirements: The work is primarily sedentary.
