Engineer – National Accounts Team
Applied Industrial Technologies
• Perform a day to day review of current product usage and effectiveness among all customer plant locations. • Product focus will be on bearing, power transmission, and fluid power products. • Plan, implement, and execute targeted reliability programs to enhance efficiency, pinpoint product failures/recommend new product to reduce downtime due to product failure, and determine opportunities for product consolidation. • Work with engineering/procurement teams regularly – Define customer organization chart and communicate to Applied strategic accounts team and subsidiary leadership team • Meet Regularly with engineering/procurement team leaders • Establish a project pipeline report and maintain status – Communicate monthly to strategic accounts and field management team • Document savings opportunities and establish replication processes across customer’s enterprise. • Provide product sourcing assistance and continually pursue products within our scope of supply. • Work with service centers and customer to expedite orders where needed. • Manage revenue growth by introducing and facilitating penetration into engineering teams with the Applied subsidiary groups – Flow Control Automation Fluid Power Capital quote establishment, follow up and closing. • Communication with field leaders, field teams and strategic accounts team regularly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering field
- 1-3 years industry related work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point is a must.
- Relationship-building skills at all levels with customers and prospect organizations
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are essential
- Preferred experience in the industries of Pulp & Paper and/or Corrugated Packaging, with presentation skills to C-suite personnel.
- Preferred experience in a related field of Applied product – bearings, power transmission components, fluid power, general industrial supplies, etc.
- Preferred experience in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory.
