Lead Manufacturing Engineer – Sourced Hardware
GE Aerospace
• Manufacturing Engineering focal for assigned supplier base • Expected to own the technical performance of multiple suppliers so supplier travel will be frequent (25-50%) • Actively leads delivery problem solving while collaborating with external supplier teams and internal GE fulfillments, commercial, quality team members • Drives multiple delivery and producibility improvement projects • Guides and influences suppliers’ performance based on developing manufacturing expertise • Partners with commercial owners to ensure supplier selection provides desired value • Supports source changes as needed while problem solving and supporting suppliers
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing
- At least 6 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Production Management
- Experience programming or mechanically supporting fabrication or traditional and/or non-traditional machining methods
- Experience using evidence based analytical thinking to verify the relationships between issues and develop practical solutions
- Experience leading and participating in improvement projects and problem-solving efforts
- Sourcing, Shop Operations, or Production Control expertise
- Manufacturing Experience in Aerospace or Automotive
