Role Description We're looking for a social-native video editor who understands how content actually performs on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This is not a traditional editing role. The ideal candidate lives on social media, understands platform culture intuitively, and can independently identify the strongest moments from long-form content without needing clip-by-clip direction. You should know how to create edits that feel native to the feed — with strong hooks, pacing, captions, sounds, transitions, and storytelling designed specifically for short-form attention spans. The right person moves quickly, stays ahead of trends, exercises strong editorial judgment, and consistently delivers high-performing content at volume. What You'll Own - Edit TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts with platform-native pacing and style - Review long-form source material and independently identify strong editorial and viral moments - Add captions, music, hooks, text overlays, sound effects, and transitions aligned with current platform trends - Repurpose and remix existing content into multiple short-form formats - Deliver 10–12 high-quality clips per week while managing multiple deadlines simultaneously - Produce same-day mobile edits for time-sensitive content when required - Use AI-assisted editing tools to accelerate workflow without compromising quality - Propose edit concepts, trends, and content formats aligned with brand strategy and social culture Workflow & Collaboration - Receive content direction from the Marketing Coordinator and visual direction from Andrea - Submit edits through Frame.io for internal and client review - Apply feedback quickly and iterate efficiently - Collaborate with the broader creative and production team to maintain delivery timelines - Share ongoing trend insights, platform learnings, and editing observations with the team Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of experience editing short-form social content for TikTok, Reels, or Shorts - Deep understanding of TikTok culture, trends, creator formats, and platform-native editing logic - Strong independent editorial judgment — able to identify compelling moments without heavy direction - Experience editing founder-led, personal brand, or thought-leadership content - Proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or equivalent editing tools - Ability to operate quickly while maintaining strong creative quality - Familiarity with AI-powered editing workflows and automation tools - Spanish fluency is a plus Who Thrives Here - This role is best suited for someone who lives online and understands internet culture intuitively - Thinks like both an editor and a content strategist - Moves quickly without sacrificing quality - Takes initiative instead of waiting for detailed instructions - Constantly studies trends, creators, hooks, and platform behavior - Enjoys fast-paced, high-volume creative environments Benefits - Fully remote work - Flexible schedule and time off - Access to leading AI tools - Direct collaboration with leadership - Long-term career growth opportunities - High-trust, fast-moving team culture
