Senior ICT Engineer
Switch
• Develop company-wide physical layer (Layer 1) standards for telecom pathways, spaces, and structured cabling systems. • Oversee consultant design for fiber optic and copper ISP infrastructure to ensure scalability and compliance. • Review ICT pathways, cabling designs, equipment submittals, and shop drawings. • Develop and maintain Basis of Design documentation and specification templates. • Lead risk identification and mitigation during design development. • Assess engineering assumptions and evaluate design alternatives. • Support master planning by reviewing communications system layouts. • Manage multiple concurrent projects designed by external consultants. • Coordinate with internal engineering teams, construction managers, quantity surveyors, vendors, utilities, and AHJs. • Assist in preparing and reviewing RFPs for design consultants. • Work with manufacturers to specify appropriate ICT equipment. • Ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA, ANSI/BICSI, and applicable code requirements. • Identify and lead initiatives to improve cost, quality, schedule, and design consistency across sites. • Research emerging ICT technologies and evaluate applicability to hyperscale data center environments. • Present technical information clearly to customers, leadership, and peers.
Job Requirements
- BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) or equivalent BICSI credential (DCDC, RTPM, OSP).
- 10+ years of ICT design experience, preferably in mission-critical environments.
- Experience developing structured cabling designs for fiber optic and category copper systems.
- Strong knowledge of ANSI/TIA and ANSI/BICSI standards.
- Experience reviewing consultant-generated design documentation.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, SmartSheet, and Microsoft Office.
- Preferred Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data center projects.
- Familiarity with master planning and campus-level infrastructure design.

• Deliver the Tanium Center services • Maintaining of the Tanium platform • Solving incidents, performing changes, participation in new projects • Helping to advance and improve the Tanium platform and its services. • Managing RBAC, system updates and troubleshoot issues • Ensure continuous operational performance • Maintain regular communication with customer stakeholders • Participate in client alignment meetings, service reviews • Creation of monthly reports, and aligning with customers in reporting meetings • Support onboarding of new team members and client teams
• Develop comprehensive FTTH network designs, including feeder, distribution, and drop routes using GIS and CAD platforms. • Prepare high-level (HLD), low-level (LLD), and construction-ready engineering packages. • Perform fiber routing, cable sizing, splice planning, and optimization based on field conditions, cost, and constructability. • Create and maintain GIS-based design datasets using platforms such as ESRI ArcGIS or QGIS. • Draft construction drawings, plan & profile sheets, and detailed design exhibits using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent CAD software. • Ensure accuracy between GIS source data and CAD deliverables through established QC workflows. • Conduct aerial route assessments, pole audits, and attachment feasibility evaluations. • Identify make-ready requirements for utility poles and related infrastructure. • Collaborate with utilities, contractors, and field teams to resolve conflicts and discrepancies. • Perform pole loading analysis using tools such as O-Calc Pro, SpidaCalc, or Katapult. • Assess pole capacity, clearance compliance, and NESC/GO95/utility-specific requirements. • Prepare and submit complete pole loading packages and justification reports. • Prepare and submit permit packages for aerial, underground, DOT, railroad, and municipal agencies. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including NESC standards. • Respond to comments, revisions, or requests from permitting authorities. • Coordinate design and permitting activities with construction teams, project managers, field survey crews, and external engineering vendors. • Provide engineering support during construction to resolve field changes or design conflicts. • Participate in design review meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement. • Perform QA/QC reviews of internal and vendor deliverables. • Maintain accurate design records, engineering logs, markups, and as-built documentation. • Adhere to company engineering standards, templates, and workflows.
