Role Description The DSP Advertising Strategist works under general supervision and follows company and department policies and procedures to plan, execute, and optimize programmatic advertising campaigns through Amazon DSP (Demand-Side Platform) on behalf of US-based e-commerce clients. This role is responsible for managing audience targeting, campaign performance, budget pacing, and delivering data-driven insights to drive brand awareness and conversion for clients across a variety of product categories. - Develops, launches, and manages Amazon DSP campaigns including display, video, and audio ad formats for assigned client accounts. - Builds and refines audience segments leveraging Amazon first-party data, lifestyle segments, in-market audiences, and retargeting strategies to maximize campaign performance. - Monitors campaign delivery, pacing, and performance daily; makes proactive optimizations to bids, budgets, creatives, and targeting to meet client KPIs. - Analyzes DSP reporting data including impressions, reach, frequency, DPVR, ATCR, and ROAS to generate actionable insights and client-facing performance reports. - Collaborates with Sponsored Ads (SPP) strategists, content managers, and account managers to align DSP campaigns with full-funnel advertising and listing strategies. - Partners with creative teams to brief and review display ad creatives, ensuring brand consistency and optimization for click-through and conversion. - Conducts audience and competitive research to identify new targeting opportunities and campaign strategies that differentiate client brands. - Maintains organized campaign documentation, naming conventions, and reporting templates in accordance with department standards. - Discusses performance inconsistencies and proposed optimizations with managers to ensure alignment with client goals and budget constraints. - Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with internal teams across time zones to align objectives and resolve challenges efficiently. - Acts as a technical resource for colleagues on DSP strategy, audience architecture, and programmatic best practices. - Maintains or exceeds department-established performance standards and client retention benchmarks. - Continues to learn and apply department Trainual subjects and Amazon advertising certification requirements according to standards. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Two to five (2–5) years of related experience in digital advertising or programmatic media buying, with at least one (1) year of hands-on Amazon DSP experience preferred. - Strong working knowledge of Amazon DSP platform including campaign setup, audience targeting, bid management, and performance reporting. - Demonstrated understanding of full-funnel advertising principles and how DSP integrates with Sponsored Ads to drive awareness, consideration, and conversion. - Proficiency in analyzing advertising metrics (ROAS, DPVR, ATCR, CPM, CTR) and translating data into strategic recommendations. - Experience working across diverse product categories for US-based e-commerce or Amazon Marketplace clients is strongly preferred. - Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate campaign strategy and performance to internal teams and clients. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization or reporting tools; familiarity with Amazon Attribution and Amazon Marketing Cloud is a plus. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and client accounts simultaneously across different time zones. - Comfortable working remotely and collaborating asynchronously with US-based teams; reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate home office setup required. - Amazon Advertising certification (DSP or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
