Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is supporting a Department of Energy (DOE) Engineering Design Procedures review effort for client in Las Vegas, Nevada. Navarro has an experienced consultant leading a review of Engineering Design Procedures, and we are seeking one to two part-time technical professionals to assist with detailed procedure reviews and technical evaluations. The selected candidates will work closely with Navarro’s consultant to assess engineering design procedures for compliance, clarity, and alignment with DOE engineering expectations and best practices. Key Responsibilities - Review Engineering Design Procedures for technical adequacy, completeness, and consistency. - Evaluate procedures for alignment with DOE engineering requirements, standards, and accepted practices. - Identify gaps, ambiguities, or inconsistencies in engineering design processes and documentation. - Provide written comments, technical observations, and recommendations for improvement. - Support consolidation of review comments and assist in preparing summary findings or briefing materials. - Participate in review meetings or discussions with Navarro staff and the lead consultant, as needed.

• Design, implement, and maintain software modules for production cost planning, including generation, storage, and transmission operating decisions • Support multi-region and inter-regional planning with long-term temporal and spatial resolution • Implement and improve large-scale optimization models, develop approaches for scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and long-horizon uncertainty • Build maintainable, well-tested, and well-documented code for production-grade planning tools • Design modular architectures that allow new technologies, policies, and constraints to be added over time • Improve runtime performance and memory efficiency for large datasets and long planning horizons • Integrate capacity expansion results with downstream models, Ensure data traceability and reproducibility of planning results • Collaborate with domain experts to validate model behavior and assumptions • Clearly communicate technical concepts and modeling results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Contribute to documentation and user-facing explanations of model logic and limitations

• Working in an agile, cross functional, team working to deliver the best possible platform experience on multiple platforms • Develop a high-performance mobile application used daily by tens of thousands of players in React Native for iOS and Android platforms • Skilled in breaking down features into requirements, giving time estimates, and writing test procedures • Working in a highly regulated industry • Work with business partners to continually develop, evolve and improve the mobile application • Collaborate with the team to develop backend api’s that support both iOS and Android mobile platforms • Participate in testing, code reviews, and continuous integration, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code and stable applications • Be focused on the end user’s experience and iteratively improve performance • Implement analytics in all aspects of the application and analyze results
