Role Description We are looking for an experienced Advanced Analytics Contractor to act as a senior analytics partner for a leading consumer technology product organization. This is a hands-on, execution-focused engagement designed to accelerate progress on high-priority analytics needs during a period of constrained capacity. You will deliver high-impact analysis, experimentation, and reporting that directly informs product strategy and business decision-making. Success in this role means operating independently, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and consistently delivering high-quality outputs on agreed timelines. What You Will Do - Own and deliver advanced analytics for defined product and business domains, working with large and complex datasets to answer high-priority questions using statistical, causal, and exploratory techniques. - Design, execute, and analyze experiments (A/B tests and quasi-experiments) to measure feature impact and inform product iteration. - Develop and validate metrics and dimensions that monitor product performance and business outcomes. - Build and maintain analytical artifacts such as queries, dashboards, and readouts that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions. - Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Data Science, and Analytics teams to align on methodology, assumptions, and interpretation. - Communicate clear, concise insights and recommendations through written and verbal channels, including leadership-ready readouts. - Leverage AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to increase efficiency and automate repetitive analytical tasks where appropriate. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, or applied quantitative analysis in an industry setting. - Strong hands-on expertise in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or R). - Proven experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments and applying statistical methods to real-world product problems. - Experience building metrics end-to-end, including definitions, validation, and implementation in data pipelines. - Strong analytical judgment, with the ability to balance rigor with speed and clearly communicate tradeoffs. - Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against agreed timelines. - Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in marketplace, product analytics, or business strategy contexts is strongly preferred. - Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics workflows is a plus.
