Network Engineer – Level III
Core BTS
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex IT infrastructure and networking issues. • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot: • Firewalls • Managed switches • Routers • Wireless networking equipment • Support and administer VMware virtual environments and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. • Monitor network performance, security, and system availability. • Assist with server administration, backups, disaster recovery, and system upgrades. • Support and troubleshoot IP and cloud-based phone systems. • Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve escalated technical issues. • Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and systems. • Participate in project planning, deployments, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of IT support or systems/network administration experience.
- Strong real-world experience with:
- Networking and routing
- Firewalls and network security
- Managed switches
- VMware virtualization
- Microsoft Azure
- Experience supporting IP/Cloud phone systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Industry certifications such as:
- CompTIA Network+
- Cisco CCNA
- VMware VCP
- Microsoft Azure certifications
- Experience in K-12, higher education, or government environments is a plus.
