Job Description

Workday Data Consultant

Kainos

• Implement and configure enterprise-scale Workday solutions for global customer base • Specialise in understanding, preparing and transforming customer organisational and employee data • Build trusted relationships with customers to understand their data needs • Lead data workstream covering data discovery, mapping, transformation, validation and load/reconciliation activities • Work closely with functional and technical leads and wider stakeholders • Aiding education and growth in Workday Data Consulting within Kainos Workday practice

Job Requirements

  • Workday HCM or Financials experience (certification desirable) or experience with other similar HCM/ERP systems
  • Workday Prism certification and/or practical expertise is desirable
  • Integrations knowledge is highly desirable (e.g., Workday integrations and/or APIs)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in data analysis, manipulation, reporting and formatting
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel (including lookups, pivots and data quality techniques)
  • Experience in data transformation and data loading activities (e.g., mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in large data sets
  • Broad business and technology understanding and a good awareness of industry trends
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of Customer demands and Kainos commercials
  • Commercial understanding of utilisation within a services organisation and the importance of these targets
  • Able to rotate through various Workday delivery services, specifically Consulting and Application Management Services
  • Able, if required, to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also be required)
  • Some understanding and appreciation for different data formatting characteristics across jurisdictions and countries, to suit our global customer base
  • Awareness of pay transparency / pay equity concepts and the importance of accurate reporting and auditability
  • Experience with Workday data tools and data movement approaches (e.g., EIB, Workday Studio, reporting extracts) and/or common ETL tooling
