You'll work on high-impact projects across Western Australia and collaborate with international partners on projects in Scotland and Canada, applying cutting-edge science to real-world challenges. Key Responsibilities In this role you will: - Assist with the management of sustainable development projects that apply ecosystem response modelling to inform environmental approvals, cumulative impact assessments, and marine spatial planning from inland waters through to coastal and offshore marine environments. - Collaborate with modelling team members using TUFLOW FV hydrodynamic modelling suite to simulate ecosystem responses and support decision-making for environmental impact assessments and coastal resilience planning. - Learn and apply Python programming within JupyterHub to support data analysis, model automation, and reporting workflows - Use Git version control to manage code, collaborate with team members, and maintain reproducibility across modelling and analysis tasks. - Assisting with the management of maritime design projects including ports and dredging. - Liaise with customers for the purposes of service delivery and some project management. - Contribute to the preparation / presentation / review of proposals About you To be successful in this role, you should have: - Bachelor's degree in in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or other relevant area of study - Minimum 3 years' experience post-graduation - Proficiency in the use of numerical modelling, relevant software packages and programming languages used in the analysis, data processing, and interpretation of complex environmental projects. (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, Fortran, MATLAB, Python, TUFLOW). - Ability to apply relevant Australian and international environmental compliance standards, codes and guidelines to sustainable development projects from inland waters to coastal and offshore environments. - Experience in the design and delivery of environmental modelling, metocean monitoring, and coastal management projects. - Clear and effective communication skills, with flexibility in format and delivery (e.g. written, visual, verbal) - Awareness of commercial considerations and ability to contribute to project planning, delivery and contract administration Why Work with Us?
