Role Description Muck Rack is looking for an analytical and entrepreneurial Senior Strategic Finance Analyst to join our quickly growing team to drive meaningful impact across the company. You will drive financial analyses, build and own reports/KPIs, and model business outcomes to provide visibility into the company’s operations and inform strategic decision-making in the Revenue org and across the company. You will report to the Director, Strategic Finance, and get significant exposure to the CFO as well as other leaders across the org. - Build driver-based financial models and scenario analyses that support annual planning, forecasting, and long-range strategic decision making. - Own and maintain Muck Rack’s financial planning infrastructure in Pigment, ensuring models are reliable, well-documented, and connected to accurate source data. - Serve as the primary finance partner for non-headcount expense management across the company, helping business leaders track spend against plan and proactively identify risks and opportunities. - Analyze performance across key business functions and prepare executive-ready insights to support monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews. - Improve and automate KPI reporting using tools such as Equals, Google Sheets, and Looker to reduce manual work and increase leadership visibility into business performance. - Collaborate cross-functionally with the GTM, Engineering, Analytics and Finance teams to define metrics, build business cases, and evaluate the impact of strategic initiatives. - Perform ad hoc analysis to support company growth and efficiency initiatives using internal data sources and external benchmarks. - Continuously improve finance tooling and workflows by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and leverage new technologies. Qualifications - 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a related finance role. - Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets. - Experience managing budgeting or expense tracking for business functions or departments. - Hands-on experience with financial planning platforms such as Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or similar tools. - Experience working in SaaS, technology, or other high-growth business environments. - Strong understanding of SaaS and GTM metrics such as ARR, NRR, bookings vs. revenue, churn, and funnel conversion. - Experience working with operational data sources such as Salesforce, Looker, or NetSuite; SQL familiarity is a plus. - Ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear narratives for executives and cross-functional stakeholders. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting financial insights to leadership. - Curiosity, ownership mentality, and a willingness to dig into data to uncover the “why” behind performance. - Comfort operating in ambiguity and improving processes in evolving environments. - Interest in leveraging technology and automation to improve financial workflows and reporting. - Proactively incorporate AI tools into day to day work to improve productivity and accelerate delivery. • Own daily visibility into cash, burn, and runway, and hold the leadership team accountable to capital efficiency • Build and maintain the financial model end-to-end: forecasting, scenario planning, cohort analysis, fundraising prep, and unit economics • Run budget construction, departmental spend tracking, and budget vs. actuals reviews; centralize visibility into SaaS, AI, and vendor spend • Partner on pricing and packaging — own the modeling, scenario analysis, and impact measurement behind pricing changes • Lead GTM finance work in partnership with Sales: CAC, payback, cohort NDR, pipeline-to-bookings, and commission modeling • Own procurement and vendor financial review; help decide what we pay for tools and where to negotiate • Build board, investor, and fundraising materials and partner with the CEO on narrative • Build the financial reporting and close infrastructure using modern tooling, AI, and automation • Manage the outsourced accounting partner to ensure accuracy and timeliness

• Act as a Finance subject matter expert (SME) on SAP S/4HANA-related projects and enterprise initiatives • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure finance requirements are accurately captured and implemented • Evaluate new SAP capabilities and enhancements for potential adoption across finance functions • Maintain strong working relationships with finance leaders and subject matter experts to align on priorities and deliverables • Partner with IT teams to ensure successful delivery of SAP-related projects, including testing, training, and change management support • Create and provide input on documentation, training materials, and user support strategies to enhance system adoption and effectiveness • Lead requirement gathering workshops and working sessions and meetings with stakeholders and partners • Analyze current-state finance processes and systems to identify improvement opportunities • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement future-state requirements aligned with SAP best practices • Support financial data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities as needed • Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal controls during system changes or integrations • Work with IT and external vendors to ensure technical solutions meet business needs • Work closely with Finance, IT, and other business units to support execution of project deliverables • Participate in workshops, working sessions, and issue resolution meetings • Provide documentation and support training efforts for impacted teams
