Finance Intern
PowerSchool
• Participate in the monthly close process, supporting activities from accounting close through financial reporting and corporate finance analysis. • Support corporate finance with analysis of financial results, key performance indicators, and business drivers. • Assist with account reconciliations and supporting schedules, flux analysis, and management reporting materials • Document finance processes and identify potential improvements to controls, reporting, or workflows • Support tax and treasury-related analysis and reporting • Assist with cash flow forecasting support, reconciliations, and documentation • Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and process improvement work
Job Requirements
- Relevant field of study in an undergraduate or graduate level program (or equivalent)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis (preferred)
- Familiarity with financial planning tools (preferred)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) (preferred)
- Knowledge of GAAP principles (preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, basic modeling) (preferred)
- Exposure to financial modeling or forecasting concepts (preferred)
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment (preferred)
- Ability to identify process improvements and suggest efficiencies (preferred).

Role Description Muck Rack is looking for an analytical and entrepreneurial Senior Strategic Finance Analyst to join our quickly growing team to drive meaningful impact across the company. You will drive financial analyses, build and own reports/KPIs, and model business outcomes to provide visibility into the company’s operations and inform strategic decision-making in the Revenue org and across the company.
