Role Description Looking for Philippines-based candidates Job Role: Scaffold Estimator & Draftsperson Compensation range: $1,800 AUD - $2,500 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. Role Overview: A combined Estimating and Drafting role supporting residential and commercial scaffolding projects across Queensland. You will prepare scaffold quotes and produce AutoCAD drawings based on site information, photos, and construction plans. Working with the sales and operations team, you’ll translate project details into accurate costings and scaffold designs. The role is structured and repeatable once systems are understood and is central to how projects are planned and delivered. The team is growing and is seeking a sharp offshore operator to take ownership of estimating and drafting, allowing the on-site crews to focus on delivering builds safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities - Prepare accurate scaffold quotes based on job scopes, site photos, and project information - Produce scaffold plans, layouts, and elevations using AutoCAD / Avontus - Review construction drawings and project plans to identify scaffold requirements - Perform quantity takeoffs from project drawings to prepare accurate scaffold material lists for yard preparation and project allocation - Ensure quotes are formatted correctly and issued through Xero - Upload and maintain project documentation, updates, and communications in Basecamp - Assist with general administrative tasks as required to support operations Qualifications - 2–3+ years of professional AutoCAD or Avontus experience, preferably in scaffolding drafting - Proven experience in end-to-end construction estimating and quantity surveying; scaffold estimating experience is an advantage - Ability to read and interpret construction and/or engineering drawings - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and cost estimation - Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a fast, reliable pace of output - Strong written English and professional communication skills - Familiarity with Xero and Basecamp is an advantage Work Arrangement & Expectations This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
