A day in the life… - Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer’s beauty goals - Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers - Set and achieve sales goals, for both in-store and digital selling with effective use of selling tools (inclusive of text and social media) - Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services - Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness - Keep up with the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and brand partners - Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts You own this if you have… - Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare - Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle customer concerns and contribute to a positive team environment - Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application - Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills - Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in using networking and technology - The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends - Physical Requirements: - Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers. - Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling - Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head. - Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds We’ve got you covered… Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits. Pay Range Details The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. $19.70 - $20.50 Hourly This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment. At Nordstrom, the commission most selling employees receive varies based on the merchandise they sell. Apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically range from 3% to 14.5%. The commission Beauty and Men’s Fragrance sales roles typically receive is 3%.
