Senior Interim Manager, Business Development

• Lead and develop the North American team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) supporting multiple segments and regions across the business. • Maintain scalable onboarding, enablement, and career development programs for the Business Development team. • Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement. • Monitor daily and weekly KPIs, identifying underperformers early and executing performance management to maintain team standards. • Mentor and develop a team of 10 BDRs using data-driven insights and tools like Gong/Salesforce. • Drive the team to achieve monthly and quarterly pipeline and meeting targets. • Manage territory assignments and forecast team capacity to ensure appropriate support for business priorities and pipeline goals. • Plan for personnel shifts and manage headcount transitions to ensure high achievement throughout the contract duration.
Job Requirements
- Senior Manager level or above with 5+ years of experience in Business Development within the SaaS industry.
- Proven experience in managing performance-based attrition, headcount planning, and conducting "hard" performance conversations.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of pipeline, territory management, and revenue performance metrics.
- High proficiency with Salesforce and related reporting/analytics tools.
- Deep familiarity with sales engagement technologies and prospecting tools.
- Exceptional coaching and team development skills with the ability to move reps from average to high-performing status.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities to work seamlessly with the internal strategy teams.
- Experience partnering closely with Marketing organizations to support integrated campaigns and pipeline growth initiatives.
