Junior MBSE Engineer

SABEL SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS LLC

Role Description Sabel Systems is seeking a remote junior level Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) who has familiarity with MBSE tools and modeling languages, such as Cameo and SysML. The MBSE will assist with building and analyzing stakeholder data models under the leadership of senior modelers. Additionally, the MBSE will assist senior modelers in building a prototype of a software pipeline to support SysML and/or UAF outputs. The MBSE will be working remotely on a cross-functional Sabel and Sub-Contractor Team comprised of other MBSEs, Project Leads, Digital Engineering Consultants, Full Stack Developers, and Front-End Developers. The MBSE must be able to work under the guidance of senior modelers as well as interact with teammates via MS Teams calls, chat and email. The ideal candidate is highly motivated to learn and continuously improve and grow within the team. What You’ll Do - The Junior MBSE shall assist with assessing existing customer’s data model, implementing necessary modifications in compliance with industry standards, to include MBSE Style Guides, for system engineering analysis under senior modeling leadership. - Utilize Cameo to develop foundational understanding SysML concepts and create behavioral and/or structural diagrams to support necessary workflows, mission threads and program data in accordance with SysML and/or UAF standards. - Participate in QA and refinement of SysML and/or UAF outputs to ensure models are fit for purpose and compliant with data model or other identified SysML or UAF style guides. - Provide remote and/or in-person product demonstrations, as required. - Collaborate directly with internal teammates or customer over MS Teams calls, chat or email to understand their modeling requirements. - Maintain professional communications and appearance with customers and team members, responding to emails and participating in MS Teams calls appropriately. - Attend daily stand-ups (DSUs), Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and any other team meetings on time. - Manage individual daily work tasks within a Jira board.
