Role Description We are looking for a Semi-Senior Full-stack Engineer to join a product-focused engineering team building internal platforms that support finance, compliance, commissions, and transaction workflows within the real estate space. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the stack, building scalable backend services and modern frontend applications, integrating third-party systems, and contributing to automation and operational tooling in a fast-paced, AI-first engineering environment. Responsibilities - Design and develop full-stack features for internal operational platforms supporting finance, compliance, and commissions workflows. - Build scalable backend services and integrations using modern API architectures, webhooks, and third-party platforms. - Develop dashboards and internal tools that surface operational and business metrics in real time. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency. - Contribute to platform architecture and data modeling for complex transaction workflows across distributed systems. - Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with engineering best practices. - Participate in technical discussions around scalability, reliability, and developer experience. - Work effectively within a remote-first, async engineering culture. Qualifications - 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development. - Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend application development. - Strong frontend development experience with React or Vue. - Solid working knowledge of Python and experience with frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask. - Experience building modern full-stack web applications and APIs. - Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases. - Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhook integrations, and third-party API consumption. - Experience working with AWS or Azure cloud environments, with AWS preferred. - Exposure to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems or MCP (Model Context Protocol) services. - AI-Augmented Development: You don’t just use AI for chat; you have a demonstrated ability to use Claude Code (or equivalent agentic tools) for non-trivial architectural and coding tasks. - Experience working independently in a remote-first, async engineering environment. - Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Nice To Have - Experience with Svelte. - Familiarity with Cloudflare Workers. - Experience deploying applications using Azure Web Apps. - Experience working with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or similar. - Prior experience integrating with platforms such as Stripe, NetSuite, TotalBrokerage, or SkySlope. - Comfort navigating state management across distributed services. - Familiarity with observability tools like BetterStack or analytics tools like PostHog. - Background in financial systems, especially around commissions, payments, or ledgers. - Knowledge of the real estate or brokerage industry.
