Role Description As a Business Analyst at Gainwell, you will be performing design, development, and testing activities. Supporting the full life cycle of development processes for creating services. Investigating and resolving complex business and technical product integration matters of significance. Focusing on a specific product or family of technologies in multiple platforms; functions independently within a business area and assists at the enterprise level to influence the technical decisions during various phases of the project. This role is strictly involved in batch development and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to batch development and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information. - Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas. - Prioritize and execute with a specialized team of business analysts driving advanced quality initiatives. - Lead IT projects moving data quality upstream and nurture newer team members by providing guidance. - Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients and the technical team to define, document, and share business requirements and expected impact. - Work with internal and external stakeholders to define key specifications and business outcomes at the start of a technical project. - Analyse, plan, design, document, or make recommendations to improve business/Quality processes to support client’s technology goals. - Help verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results. - Research business objectives and data requirements of clients to ensure that developed products meet client needs. - Communicate with clients about data-related discrepancies and other matters of significance to ascertain information and correct errors. Qualifications - 12+ years of experience in Business Analyst, Managed care, Provider, Claims adjudication, Medicaid or Medicare. - At least 2-3 years working experience in Managed care Module. - 12+ years of business functional experience in one or more areas such as Eligibility, Claims, Provider. - Strong SQL knowledge. Ability to write complex queries. - Ability to gather requirements effectively; document requirements and confirm observations with business owners. - Experience using Microsoft Office Tools, specifically Excel. - Ability to create detailed and thorough design documents and test plans/execution for medium to large initiatives. - Being able to research, analyze, validate, and document business requirements.
