Position Overview: As a ReelShort Screenwriter, you will be responsible for reading web novels and adapting them into compelling screenplays. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in writing and a deep knowledge and interest in romance novels or TV shows. You will need to bring order to chaos, find the right connections, and solve problems creatively. Additionally, you will provide feedback to peers and participate in script workshops. Anyone seeking a mid-level position with at least 5 years of writing background and a strong interest in story writing (preferably in romance/drama) would be ideal for this role. Responsibilities: - Read web novels to understand their themes and plots, and use them as references for writing original screenplays. - Analyze content and data to identify issues and lay out plans for optimization. - Write original content and occasionally collaborate on published content. - Utilize data to enhance in-app retention, book retention optimization, chapter conversion, new user tutorials, and marketing promotions. - Provide constructive feedback and foster team collaboration.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of screenwriting experience.
- Strong creative screenwriting skills, particularly in romance and drama.
- Bachelor’s degree in History, English, Fine Arts, Screenwriting, or a related field.
- Comfortable writing young adult romance/drama, which may include sensitive and triggering content.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interest in reading novels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the online reading or publishing industry, both historical and current.
- Passion for content creation and prior experience in the field is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones.
- Eagerness to learn and gain experience in the gaming and content industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
