Role Description The Corporate Strategy and Development Intern will work closely with the Vice President (SVP) of Corporate Strategy and Development. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to gain exposure to high-level strategic planning, market analysis, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and the development of long-term growth initiatives for a global industry leader. This internship is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in corporate strategy and business development. The ideal candidate will contribute critical thinking, research capabilities, and analytical insights that align with Amentum’s mission to maintain its position as a market leader. Key Responsibilities - Partner with the SVP and Corporate Strategy & Development team to support the annual strategic planning process, contributing research, data analysis, and insights to help shape the company’s long-term objectives. - Assist in the continuous evaluation of market activity, industry trends, and competitor initiatives, leveraging data to identify new growth opportunities. - Support the preparation of detailed business analyses, presentations, and briefs for internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, regarding strategic initiatives, market strategies, and M&A opportunities. - Participate in identifying and assessing potential acquisition opportunities, including conducting competitive research and market assessments. - Help with post-acquisition activities, such as tracking the performance of acquired companies and analyzing integration results to assess their success and alignment with corporate goals. - Research and analyze industry trends, emerging markets, customer behavior, and advances in technology to inform strategic decision-making. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external consultants as needed to assess the feasibility and alignment of new strategic initiatives with the organization’s mission and objectives. - Support internal and external stakeholder engagement by communicating key initiatives, milestones, and outcomes to relevant parties in a well-structured and professional manner. Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline). - Demonstrated strong interest or academic exposure to Financial Reports and Statement Modeling, Financial Analysis, or Market Research and Investment Concepts. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint (experience with creating presentations and financial analysis). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, calculate ROI, and present comprehensive business cases. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings. - Ability to work remotely and collaborate virtually with diverse teams across different time zones. - Willingness to travel occasionally for team meetings or customer engagements, if needed. Compensation Details $20 - $25 hourly.
