• Promote Sartorius’ Lab Essentials and BioAnalytics products and services for both within an assigned geographic area, product range or key account to achieve sales and revenue targets • Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy • Actively use SFDC to manage and document leads and opportunities, all customer interactions and sales activities ensuring that all customer and opportunity information is up-to-date and accurately entered in the CRM system • Analyze SFDC data for assigned customers to identify trends, generate customer insights and track sales performance • Actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of sales activity • Assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to customer inquiries and suggest products and services as appropriate • Develop and implement account plans and request and coordinate resources in line with the account plans • Work closely with cross functional team to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities in assigned territory • Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long term partnership
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering (higher level of education would be beneficial)
- Minimum 3 years field sales experience, with relevant experience within biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries
- Hands-on knowledge and proactive usage of SFDC and other CRM tools
- Good teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently
- Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office

The Account Manager is responsible for the generation of new business equipment sales and profits (P&L) in a specific territory. Here’s what you’ll do: - Maintain currency of, and adhere to applicable GMP and ISO 9001 processes and procedures. Operates a specific cost center (business) to control sales, expenses, inventory and accounts receivable. - Maintain SFDC reports, dashboards and updates relative to opportunities, leads and sales funnel. - Develop and implement synergy opportunities among other Zeiss companies, Carl Zeiss Meditec field service and other corporate partners when such programs arise. - Develop and implement creative and profitable marketing approaches to the individual demands of the representatives region. Do you qualify? - Four-year college degree or equivalent. Five years of sales experience. - High level of technical/ clinical product knowledge. - Ability to manage multiple tasks. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet and database management. - Exceptional negotiating and diplomacy skills. - Develop expertise in product application and practice management implications. - Safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid motor vehicle license. The annual starting base salary for this position is $100,000 plus sales commission.
