Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized senior accountant. The Remote Senior Accountant supports the accounting team by accurately completing journal entries and reconciliations, completing the monthly financial close process and maintaining daily detailed tracking of merchandise payables. Reporting To: Group Controller Key Responsibilities - Prepare journal entries and reconciliations as part of month-end close process. - Generate daily, weekly and monthly reporting using Excel. - Process and record vendor invoices and payment, as well as maintain timely vendor communication. - Assist with vendor setup and updates, including contact information and payment terms. - Daily tracking and input of merchandise payables and timely communication with both domestic and foreign vendors. - Bank account reconciliation and processing of online cash payments. - Management of accounts receivable team and staff accountant. - Maintain organized communication and follow up with internal teams including purchasing, transportation and human resources. - Identify and resolve errors and provide feedback of areas of improvement. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field - 4+ years of accounting experience - Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and AP/AR processes - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Proficient in Microsoft Excel - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong organizational and follow-up skills - Willing attitude to dig in and make process improvements - Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently - Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely Remote Work Requirements - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong time management and accountability in a remote environment - Comfortable using communication tools such as Google/Teams/Zoom/email - Dedicated workspace during scheduled work hours - This is a remote position with expected availability during standard business hours (approximately 8–9 AM to 5–6 PM CST).
