• You will own the briefs and scripts, and serve as editorial reviewer once our production team delivers cuts. • Own the operational health of our YouTube channel and help us extend content onto Instagram, ensuring uploads, metadata, and performance reporting are tight. • Every concept should have a clear path to Reels cutdowns before we ever shoot. • Review cuts from our external production team and provide clear, actionable feedback on pacing, structure, tone, and fidelity to the original brief. • Flag Reels and TikTok moments in the script at the concept stage — not after the fact — so the production team captures them in the shoot. • Develop titles, thumbnail concepts, and metadata that drive both clicks and search ranking. • Own the upload workflow: titles, descriptions, tags, cards, end screens, and scheduled publish times on YouTube. Coordinate corresponding Instagram Reels posts. • Pull a monthly report from YouTube Studio covering views, watch time, click-through rate, and search traffic sources. • Keep playlists organized, flag content that needs updating, and stay current on algorithm or policy changes that affect our content.

The ideal candidate will act as a dedicated ambassador for the Advanced portfolio, with an extensive global network in dermatology and related disciplines. The Editor-in-Chief will actively participate in the peer review process and decision-making for submitted manuscripts, while ensuring the adoption of best practices and the highest ethical standards in publishing. Qualifications - PhD in dermatology or a closely related discipline (immunology, allergy, skin biology), with a strong understanding of the dermatology research landscape. - Post-doctoral research experience and/or relevant editorial or publishing experience is highly desirable. - Strong experience of manuscript handling, including pre-screening, peer review, editorial decision-making, and managing complex cases (e.g. appeals, integrity issues). - Demonstrated subject matter expertise with an established publication record or equivalent academic credibility. - Strong global network within dermatology and related research communities, with the ability to engage and influence leading researchers. - Proven ability to contribute to or lead the development and growth of a journal, including commissioning content and driving submissions. - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to represent the journal externally. - Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and translate vision into actionable plans. - High levels of integrity, professionalism, and accountability. - Willingness to travel internationally.
