• Revisas y validas los documentos soporte de las compras de la compañía, asegurando el cumplimiento de los requisitos fiscales vigentes. • Analizas la información contable relacionada con impuestos para apoyar la correcta elaboración y control de las declaraciones tributarias. • Revisas y controlas los certificados de retención practicados a la compañía. • Concilias las facturas de venta con la información reportada en el portal de la DIAN. • Concilias las facturas de compra con la información reportada en el portal de la DIAN. • Apoyas en la elaboración de toda la parte tributaria de la Fundación Siigo. • Registras y controlas los asientos contables relacionados con impuestos. • Apoyas la atención de requerimientos de auditoría y autoridades fiscales. • Identificas inconsistencias tributarias y propones mejoras en los procesos. • Ejecutas todas las demás funciones que te sean asignadas por la persona líder inmediata y que correspondan a la naturaleza del cargo.

Job Requirements

  • Eres Técnico en Contaduría, Economía, Ingeniera Industrial, Gestión Administrativa y Financiera, y/o a fines.
  • Cuentas con experiencia de mínimo de 1 año en procesos de de apoyo o ejecución en el área de impuestos y/o contable.
  • Tienes un nivel Intermedio de Excel.

Senior Tax Associate - Full Time, Remote Location: Remote, United States Job Description: Location: Fully Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Tax Reports To: Tax Manager About the Role Profitwise Accounting is hiring a Senior Tax Associate to join our Tax team. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who can prepare and review complex returns, support client relationships, identify planning opportunities, and help mentor other preparers. This is not a basic tax preparation role. The Senior Tax Associate is expected to bring strong technical tax knowledge, sound judgment, client-facing confidence, and the ability to recognize risk before it becomes a larger issue. This person will prepare returns across multiple entity types, perform quality reviews, support tax planning, and serve as a trusted point of contact for clients. The right candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, comfortable researching tax rules, and able to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and team members. Key Responsibilities - Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for individuals, businesses, and complex entities. - Prepare and review returns for entities including S corporations, partnerships, and dissolved entities. - Perform quality reviews of tax returns, including checking tax documents against UltraTax entries. - Provide clear review notes, corrections, and developmental feedback to preparers. - Research federal, California, and multi-state tax rules, interpret findings, and apply them appropriately. - Identify potential client issues, tax risks, planning opportunities, and firm-level concerns. - Serve as a client relationship manager and main point of contact for assigned tax clients. - Respond to client and internal team communications within 24 hours. - Conduct client tax meetings, including kick-off meetings, tax planning meetings, and consultation appointments. - Prepare and present basic to intermediate tax plans. - Review tax projections prepared by Level 2 and Level 3 preparers. - Make tax planning recommendations related to retirement contributions, entity considerations, deductions, limitations, and taxable income reduction strategies. - Work with high-net-worth clients and identify opportunities to maximize deductions and reduce taxable income where appropriate. - Handle complex tax items such as stock options, installment sales, ownership changes, and accounting method changes. - Prepare or support Form 3115, Change in Accounting Method. - Prepare S corporation and partnership returns involving mid-year ownership changes. - Assist clients with IRS matters, including installment agreements and Offers in Compromise, when appropriate. - Maintain strong working knowledge of TaxPlan IQ and participate in TaxPlan IQ learning opportunities. - Support, mentor, and train other tax preparers. - Escalate client, technical, or firm-risk issues to the Tax Manager for analysis and resolution. - Work efficiently in a paperless, cloud-based environment while protecting client data and privacy. Qualifications Required - 10+ years of tax preparation experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience handling complex tax work. - Enrolled Agent, CPA, CTEC, or similar tax credential. - Strong experience preparing individual, business, and entity tax returns. - Strong working knowledge of federal tax rules and California tax rules. - Ability to research tax rules, interpret guidance, and determine appropriate action. - Experience reviewing tax returns and providing feedback to preparers. - Strong client communication skills, including the ability to speak with confused or dissatisfied clients professionally. - Strong business acumen and ability to understand client circumstances beyond the tax return. - Comfortable working in a paperless environment. - Commitment to protecting client data and confidentiality. - Typing speed of approximately 50-60 WPM. - Proficiency with 10-key. - Ability to respond to clients and team members within 24 hours. Preferred - Experience with UltraTax. - Experience with TaxPlan IQ. - Experience serving high-net-worth clients. - Experience preparing tax plans and conducting tax planning meetings. - Experience mentoring or training tax preparers. - Experience handling multi-state tax research. - Experience with IRS installment agreements or Offers in Compromise. - Experience with stock options, installment sales, Form 3115, ownership changes, and entity dissolutions. What Success Looks Like A successful Senior Tax Associate will: - Prepare accurate tax returns across entity types with at least 95% accuracy. - Complete assigned tax returns within one week, as needed. - Complete quality reviews within 5 business days of assignment. - Provide useful review notes that improve the quality of the return and help preparers grow. - Manage assigned client relationships with professionalism, responsiveness, and care. - Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations clearly. - Recognize client situations or tax issues that may create risk for the firm. - Meet weekly with the Tax Manager and provide a clear report on assigned tax client work. - Attend at least 2 hours of live tax webinars per month to strengthen technical knowledge and support department innovation.
