Role Description Safal Partners is seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented professional to support the development of high-quality instructional materials review tools for a state education agency client. The Rubric Development Specialist works as part of a project team to keep tasks organized, on schedule, and ready for stakeholder review across all phases of tool development. This is a full-time position within Safal's Education Practice. - Project coordination and operations: Manage scheduling, meeting logistics, materials preparation, and platform support for an assigned content area. Maintain project tools, templates, and tracking systems that keep the work moving efficiently. - Research support: Identify and summarize relevant sources, including state-level instructional materials initiatives, subject-area research, and guidance from leading educational organizations. - Stakeholder engagement and focus groups: Support planning and facilitation of focus groups and working sessions with educators and subject matter experts. Coordinate outreach, prepare engagement materials, and ensure inclusive participation. Capture and synthesize stakeholder feedback into clear summaries for the team. - Communications and documentation: Draft agendas, briefing documents, summary reports, and other materials that keep stakeholders informed and aligned. Maintain detailed records of decisions, activities, and feedback. - Quality assurance: Conduct an initial review of draft tools and supporting documents to catch errors and inconsistencies. Help maintain quality standards across the full development cycle. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in education, curriculum and instruction, communications, public policy, or related field (Master's preferred). - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, education policy, or a related field. - Background or familiarity with instructional materials, curriculum standards, or K–12 education systems preferred. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Commitment to transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Experience supporting project coordination, stakeholder engagement, or educational program implementation, preferably in an education or public sector setting. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. - Demonstrated ability to translate complex information into accessible formats for a range of audiences. - Experience facilitating or supporting group meetings, focus groups, or working sessions. - Proficiency with collaborative tools and project management platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint).
