• Help shape the next generation of smart financial tools at NerdWallet. Define and evolve a multi-year vision for how people get value from NerdWallet by connecting accounts, analyzing and monitoring their data, and making smart and timely recommendations to drive positive outcomes in a customer’s financial life. • Turn ambiguity into clear, impactful products. Identify high-impact opportunities, translate them into actionable product strategies, and guide teams from discovery through launch and iteration. • Deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes. Use data, experimentation, and customer insights to improve activation, engagement, retention, and long-term value, while maintaining a strong focus on trust. • Build and scale reliable financial systems. Partner with engineering, compliance, risk, and operations teams to develop secure, scalable, and compliant account capabilities. • Collaborate across teams and partners. Work closely with internal stakeholders and external financial partners to navigate tradeoffs across speed, reliability, and risk. • Raise the bar for product thinking and execution. Mentor and influence product managers and cross-functional partners, helping teams make stronger decisions and deliver higher-quality outcomes. • Use AI to drive smarter, more personalized experiences. Leverage AI thoughtfully to improve team efficiency at scale and enhance consumer personalization, recommendations, and decision-making.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional product initiatives and driving them from concept to measurable impact
- Ability to define product vision and strategy, and connect it to execution through clear priorities and outcomes
- Strong decision-making skills in ambiguous or constraint-heavy environments (such as regulated industries or large-scale systems)
- Experience building or contributing to financial products, platforms, or systems involving money movement, accounts, or similar capabilities
- Comfort working across disciplines, including engineering, design, data, and business teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and bring others along
- Analytical thinking and a data-informed approach to product decisions, including experimentation and performance tracking
- A sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes, paired with resilience and adaptability
