Role Description We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Tier 2 Managed Services Engineer to design, implement, and support complex B2B network environments. This role is a bridge between standard support and high-level engineering, requiring a deep understanding of SD-WAN, Networking and Voice technologies alongside a commitment to operational excellence. What You'll Do - Design & Implementation: Lead the technical delivery of B2B T2 level solutions, including SD-WAN, MPLS, SASE, and Carrier Grade Circuits. - Vendor Management: Oversee hardware and service configurations for diverse vendors (Cisco, ADTRAN, Juniper, CATO, VeloCloud). - Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve complex routing issues involving OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, and SDWAN. - Voice Engineering: Configure and troubleshoot SIP, PRI, Hosted PBX, and Fax over IP services. - Voice Deep troubleshooting: Utilize Wireshark and diagnostic tools to analyze SIP/network traffic and identify underlying failures. - Incident Ownership: Perform thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to move beyond temporary fixes and implement permanent architectural solutions. - Operational Excellence: Maintain precise network documentation, follow QA processes correctly and ensure strict adherence to client SLAs. - Proactive Optimization: Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to enhance network reliability for customers. Qualifications - Technical Education: Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - Certifications: Active certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4, Cisco Meraki Specialist, or VeloCloud/Cato credentials. - Domain Expertise: Strong mastery of TCP/IP, advanced routing protocols, and enterprise network topologies. - Ownership Mindset: Demonstrated ability to take end to end responsibility for complex issues, coordinating with ISPs and vendors until full resolution. - Strategic Communication: Ability to translate highly technical data into clear, actionable summaries for non-technical clients and stakeholders. - Analytical Rigor: A "root-cause-first" approach to troubleshooting, with the discipline to avoid workarounds in favor of long-term stability. - Documentation Discipline: High attention to detail in maintaining network diagrams and contributing to the team’s internal knowledge base. - Prioritization Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple high priority tasks in a fast-paced environment. Requirements - Location: 100% Remote. - Hours: Standard business hours based on Pacific Time (PT). - Availability: Occasional after-hours support required for critical deployments and high-level escalations.
