Role Description We are seeking a Payments Product Manager/Business Analyst for a 6-8 month remote contract. The Payments Product Manager will support our client's Bill / Unified Billing effort at their Credit, helping define and deliver payment capabilities that enable a simplified, consistent billing and payment experience for customers. This role will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and partner teams to translate business needs into clear product requirements and support execution through delivery. Key Responsibilities - Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define Payments requirements for our client's Bill / Unified Billing. - Document current-state and future-state payment flows, including customer experience, servicing, operations, and downstream impacts. - Create and maintain product artifacts such as business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, feature briefs, and decision logs. - Support backlog management, prioritization, sprint planning, and delivery tracking. - Identify dependencies across Payments, Billing, Customer, Servicing, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams. - Facilitate working sessions to clarify scope, resolve open questions, and drive alignment. - Support risk, issue, and decision management for payment-related workstreams. - Coordinate testing readiness, including test scenarios, UAT support, defect triage, and production validation. - Help define success metrics, reporting needs, and operational controls for the payment experience. - Prepare concise status updates, executive summaries, and readouts for leadership. Qualifications - Product management or business analyst experience in payments, billing, financial services, auto finance, banking, or digital commerce. - Strong understanding of payment methods such as ACH, debit card, credit card, digital wallets, bill pay, recurring payments, scheduled payments, and refunds. - Experience working with Agile delivery teams and writing user stories / acceptance criteria. - Ability to simplify complex business, technical, and operational topics for cross-functional audiences. - Strong stakeholder management, communication, and follow-through. - Experience with regulated financial services environments preferred. - Familiarity with customer billing, account servicing, payment posting, reconciliation, or general ledger impacts is a plus. Key Deliverables - Payments requirements for our client's Bill / Unified Billing. - Current-state and future-state payment flow documentation. - User stories and acceptance criteria for payment capabilities. - Dependency, risk, and decision tracking. - UAT / production validation support materials. - Leadership status updates and issue summaries. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Detroit, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
